Background

The City was approached by Redington Property Group Ltd. with an offer to purchase portions of Redington Road north of the Trans-Canada Highway. The attached Schedule ‘A’ outlines the proposed road closure in bold outline.

Commentary

Redington Property Group Ltd. has requested to purchase a portion of Redington Road as they intend to develop lands north and west of the road closure and use portions of the closed road for their proposed development. The portion of Redington Road not closed will be, for the first time, constructed as a municipal road open to the public.
