Subject:
GVPL Operating Agreement Renewal 2017-2020
Background
As Council may be aware, the Greater Victoria Public Library (GVPL) Operating Agreement is up for renewal. Attached is a copy of a proposed new operating agreement for Council approval. The new agreement has not changed in any substantial way from the previous agreement with most changes being minor house-keeping amendments.
The new agreement will be for a period of 4 years rather than the current 3 year term. Another proposed change in the agreement is that a single final budget submission be provided to Councils for approval, rather than providing a provisional and final budget as is required under the previous agreement.
Options
That Council:
Approve the GVPL operating agreement renewal 2017-2020 as proposed; OR
Advise the GVPL that it is not prepared to approve the Operating agreement 2017-2020 as proposed.
