Background

Earlier and later steps of the same initiative.

  1. Jul 20, 2026

    Permissive property tax exemptions

Langford approved property-tax relief for three nonprofit sites, a 10-year exemption for M’Akola Housing Society’s rental homes at 550 Goldstream Avenue, and continuation of the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s existing exemption after a property-record change. The relief lowers eligible organizations’ tax costs, including for below-market housing, while reducing tax revenue otherwise collected by the city.
