### BYLAW NO. 2212

A BYLAW TO AMEND MISCELLANEOUS BYLAWS TO THE REPEAL AND  
REPLACEMENT OF ANIMAL CONTROL BYLAW

The Council of the City of Langford, in open meeting assembled, hereby enacts as follows:

1. City of Langford Ticket Information Authorization No. 34, 1993, is amended as follows:
   a) By deleting from Schedule 1 item 8, “Capital Regional District Animal Regulation and Impounding Bylaw No. 1, 1986” and inserting in its place “City of Langford Animal Responsibility Bylaw No. 2239, 2026”.
   b) By deleting Schedule 8 and inserting the new Schedule 8 as attached hereto and forming part of this bylaw.

2. City of Langford Bylaw Notice Enforcement Bylaw No. 1980, 2021, is amended as follows:
   a) In section 14 by adding a new 6) to read as follows:
      6) For the purposes of the Animal Responsibility Bylaw No. 2239, 2026, persons designated by the Capital Regional District Animal Control Services as Screening Officers.
   b) By deleting that section of Schedule A corresponding to Animal Regulation and Impounding Bylaw No. 1465, 1986, and inserting Schedule A as attached hereto and forming part of this bylaw and corresponding to Animal Responsibility Bylaw No. 2239, 2026.

3. Langford Municipal Park Regulation Bylaw No. 177, 1996, is amended as follows:
   a) By deleting section 4.25. and inserting a new section 4.25. to read as follows:
      4.25. Notwithstanding any provision in this Bylaw, nothing shall interfere with any right of any blind person or person with disabilities that requires the assistance of a service dog or guide dog certified under the Guide Dog and Service Dog Act, SBC 2015, c. 17.
   b) By amending section 4.27. to add “, Service Dog” after “Guide Dog”.

4. City of Langford Officer and Peace Officer Bylaw, No. 1243, 2009, is amended as follows:
   a) In section 1 by deleting “Animal Regulation and Impounding Bylaw No. 1, 1986” and inserting in its place “Animal Responsibility Bylaw No. 2239, 2026”.
   b) In subsection 3. iii. by deleting “Animal Regulation and Impounding Bylaw No. 1, 1986” and inserting in its place “Animal Responsibility Bylaw No. 2239, 2026”.

5. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as “Animal Control Miscellaneous Amending Bylaw No. 2212, 2026”.
