Notice of Motion from May 21, 2024 — Support nomination for UBCM Community Excellence Award (Councillor Wagner)
Motion
Councillor Wagner moved: WHEREAS UBCM has a Community Excellence Award to recognize and celebrate UBCM member First Nations, regional districts, and local governments that have implemented projects or programs that go above and beyond in meeting the purposes of local government in BC; And WHEREAS the awards are intended to showcase outstanding initiatives and share them with other members to implement in their own communities; And WHEREAS the City of Langford’s Inaugural Strategic Plan meets the criterion set out above; Therefore, I move that Council resolve to support the nomination of Langford's Inaugural Strategic Plan in being considered for a 2024 UBCM Community Excellence Award.
