City of Langford
Community Advisory Committee

I am writing in support of Langford Tennis Club's proposal asking for new
courts in the District together with washrooms. It is unfortunate that the Club
has to leave Royal Roads but crucial that they find a new home in the West
Shore. Their activities benefit not just residents of the West Shore but also the
Greater Victoria area: organized tournaments, excellent Junior Development
Program and group play for people of all ages and (dis)abilities.

West Shore, the fastest growing area on lower Vancouver Island, has lost most
of its courts over the years to development. Now is the time to construct new
courts in the community. A new home for the Langford Tennis Club would be a
great start since the Club will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025!

Thank you for considering this request.

Yours sincerely,
Don Simister
Member of Victoria Tennis Club and Victoria Tennis Group
