Dear Committee Members,
I am writing in support of Langford Tennis Club's proposal asking for new courts in the District together with washrooms. It is unfortunate that the Club has to leave Royal Roads but crucial that they find a new home in the West Shore. Their activities benefit not just residents in the West Shore but also the Greater Victoria area: organized tournaments, excellent Junior Development Program and group play for people of all ages and (dis)abilities. West Shore has lost most of its courts over the years to development, and it is the fastest growing area on lower Vancouver Island. Now is the time to construct new courts there, and Langford would be ideal since the Club will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025!
