Regarding the development of the Kramer lands, we urge council to ensure that more
than 4ha are preserved in their natural state. We feel strongly that Langford needs
more nature, not less, and these lands are incredibly rich in biodiversity. There is a
plethora of research linking nature to stress reduction: nature heals.

Mill Hill, Mt Wells, and Goldstream are not enough to serve this burgeoning
population.

Are you aware of climate change, and the moderating effect trees have?

Can you consider the value of the innumerable species being impacted?

Where is Langford council's long term vision regarding nature?
Langford's motto, "golden in setting, determined in spirit", seems to mean "our
neighbouring municipalities can conserve their natural beauty, we're determined to
eradicate ours". Residents of Langford deserve better: Please take better care of the
rare and beautiful ecosystems located here.

Sincerely,

"Sustainable communities do not mortgage their resources for only present benefit or
exploitation..." Ann Dale, Edging Forward: Achieving Sustainable Community
Development
