## Correspondence — Kirk and Stephanie Lewis (Langford Triathlon) — Thank you to Council

Dear Mayor and City Council,

We thank Mayor Stew Young and Langford City Council for their steadfast
support of us and the Langford Triathlon.

We feel so fortunate and thankful to be a part of such an amazing community.
From our very first meeting at city hall it was obvious that we were in a room of
professionals who were willing partners, excited to help us showcase our city and
the triathlon. Over the last 5 years with their guidance it has helped us shine a light
on Langford as a destination and grow the race to be recognised as an International
Triathlon qualifying event.

We thank you all for having the vision and courage to support us and our event.
We would also like to thank our neighbors for their outpouring of support and the
residents of Langford lake for allowing us to use the lake and forgiving the bumps
along the way. Its not every morning you wake up at 630am to AC/DC’s “Hells
Bells” echoing across the lake.

In particular we want thank, the director of engineering Michelle Mahovlich. Over
the years her strong leadership and sage advice was always welcome and we both
agree this project would not have been a success without her unwavering support
and guidance.

With gratitude,

Kirk and Stephanie Lewis
