Bylaw No. 1833 - Application to Amend the Text of the MUE2 Zone (790 McCallum) to Allow Gasoline Service Stations

At their Regular Meeting of April 1, 2019 Council passed the following resolution with respect to the property at 790 McCallum Road:

That Council:

1. Direct the Director of Planning to require additional landscaping above and beyond what the current guidelines require for lands within the MUE2 zone that are developed for a Gasoline Service Station and/or Parking Facilities.

and

2. Give 1st reading to Bylaw No. 1833.

COMMENTS

Bylaw 1833 amends the text of the MUE2 Zone by adding ‘Gasoline Service Station’ under the Retail and other Service Commercial Uses heading of Section 6.53B.01(1) of Bylaw 300.

Bylaw No.1833 was signed by the Minister of Transportation on April 9, 2019.

1. Adopt Bylaw No. 1833;

2. Take no action at this time with respect to Bylaw No. 1833;

A BYLAW TO AMEND BYLAW NO. 300,
“LANGFORD ZONING BYLAW, 1999"

The Council of the City of Langford, in open meeting assembled, hereby enacts as follows:

A. Langford Zoning Bylaw No. 300, 1999 is amended as follows:

1. By adding the following text under the Restaurant, Retail and Other Service Commercial Uses heading of Section 6.53B.01(1): “Gasoline Service Station”.

B. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as “Langford Zoning Bylaw, Amendment No. 559, (790 McCallum Rd), Bylaw No. 1833, 2019".

PUBLIC HEARING held this 1st day of April, 2019.
