### Background
At the Council meeting on February 6, 2017 staff were directed through Council resolution to undertake the necessary steps to close and transfer a portion of McCallum Road to the abutting land owner (McCallum Developments Ltd.) for $20,000. The attached plan outlines the proposed road closure in bold outline.

### Commentary
As noted in the original report, McCallum Developments Ltd. already meet their onsite parking requirements, but would simply prefer to add more parking to their site by utilizing this unused portion of municipal road.

### Financial Implications
All costs associated with the closure and disposition of this portion of McCallum Road would be the responsibility of the developer. Additionally, the City would receive $20,000 from the sale of this land.

### Legal Implications
There are no know legal implications with the proposed closure and disposition of road.

### Options
That Council;

1. Give McCallum Road Closure Bylaw No. 1671 1st, 2nd, and 3rd readings.
OR
2. Do nothing at this time, and not close McCallum Road as outlined in this report.
