### Background
The purpose of this report is to inform Council of the results of quotations received for the West Shore Parkway Segment 5 fencing located adjacent to the Westhills Play Park.

### Commentary
The West Shore Parkway is being designed to connect the Trans-Canada Highway, through the currently constructed West Shore Parkway to Sooke Road. Segment 5 of the West Shore Parkway is one of the nine segments that is located south of Langford Parkway to the creek crossing. This segment is adjacent to the Westhills Park. In order to provide a continued safe environment for users of the Westhills Park staff have obtained two quotes to install black chainlink fencing along the length of the play park. The fencing is proposed to be installed in the next three weeks, in advance of the bulk of construction beginning on the adjacent Segment 5 of the West Shore Parkway.

The quotes were obtained from local suppliers as follows:
- Tower Fence $8,950 plus GST;
- Protex Fence $7,700 plus GST

The low bidder was Protex Fence Services.

### Financial Implications
The West Shore Parkway Segment 5 will be funded through the City's Development Cost Charge Program with an additional 2/3 funding coming from the New Building Canada Infrastructure Grant Fund.
